My story

Before entering the field of psychotherapy, I was an economist and a finance professional who worked for Goldman Sachs in New York and Mexico City. I studied Economics at ITAM in Mexico City and then obtained a Masters in Finance from Boston College. I later transitioned to the non-profit sector and served as CFO of Pro Mujer, an international micro finance organization that provides small loans and business training to low-income women in Latin America.

My passion for helping others continued to grow while raising my two boys, as a volunteer with community organizations that help immigrant families in Houston. Through my own journey in therapy and through seeing the need for bilingual mental health services, I decided to return to school in 2018 to pursue a masters degree in clinical social work from the University of Houston.

Originally from Mexico City, I have lived in Houston more than 25 years and proudly call Houston home. As a mom and a wife, my approach to therapy is deeply shaped by the real-life lessons of marriage and parenting.
