Frequently Asked Questions

Are sessions in person or online?

I offer in-person sessions, in my office in Montrose in Houston. I offer online sessions to anyone in Texas.

What is your availability?

I am typically available weekdays from 8 am to 4 pm.

How much are your sessions?

$175 for 50 min individual sessions. $195 for 50 minute couples sessions. $60 for 90 min Group sessions.

What type of therapy do you provide?

My approach is primarily psychodynamic, meaning we will explore early life experiences that may be contributing to present struggles. We will seek to bring awareness to patterns and behaviors that you might not be aware of that may contribute to mental health symptoms. However, you are unique and I am trained in other approaches, which I will bring in depending on your needs. These include mindfulness, CBT, DBT, ACT, and psychodrama.

How long will I need to be in therapy?

Every situation is different. I recommend weekly sessions for at least the first 8 weeks so that we can build a strong foundation and help you achieve momentum toward your goals. After that, we can reevaluate if you want to continue weekly, bi-weekly, or as needed. Consistency will help you make progress. My goal is for you to no longer need my services, however some people find it helpful to stay in therapy long-term.

Are we a good fit?

We will discover this together but if any of the following statements describe you, I can probably help you:

“I didn’t expect my life to be like this”

“I always feel like I’m falling short—like I’m never quite enough”

“I feel exhausted in my relationship, and guilty for wanting something different”

“I am having a difficult time accepting a new reality, a recent loss or the death of someone close to me”

“I am conflicted about religion. I am a spiritual person but I feel confused”

“Adulting is so hard!”

“I feel irritable and worried all of the time”

We are probably not a good fit if you struggle with an active eating disorder or severe substance use. I am happy to provide referrals if needed.

Do you take insurance?

No, but I can provide a Superbill at the end of the month for you to submit for reimbursement for out of network benefits.

Do you offer reduced rates?

Please reach out and we can discuss your particular situation and how we can make it work for both of us.

What type of payments do you accept?

I accept Zelle, Venmo or credit card.
