You deserve a therapist who gets it

Many of the women and couples I work with look put-together on the outside — successful careers, loving families, full lives. But privately, they feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or trapped in patterns they can't seem to break. If that sounds familiar, you're not alone. And you don't have to keep figuring it out by yourself.

I'm Ana Amaré, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Group Psychotherapist (CGP) offering individual therapy, couples therapy, and group psychotherapy in person in Houston, TX and online to anyone living in Texas. Sessions are available in English and Spanish.

My approach to therapy

Before becoming a psychotherapist, I had a career in finance and economics at Goldman Sachs in New York and Mexico City. That background shapes how I think — I understand the specific pressures that high-achieving professionals face, and I bring a practical, grounded perspective to therapy alongside the clinical one.

As someone who is culturally Latina and has lived in the United States for more than half my life, I also bring a bicultural perspective to my work. I understand what it means to navigate between worlds — and how that experience can shape your sense of identity, relationships, and expectations of yourself.

For couples, I use the Gottman Method — one of the most research-backed approaches to couples therapy available. I became trained in this method after seeing its impact in my own 27-year relationship. My work with couples isn't just clinical; it's personal. I know firsthand that learning to communicate, repair after conflict, and stay connected is ongoing work — and it's absolutely possible.
